Test for divisibility by 4

 

If the number has digits in the tens and units place is divisible by 4, then that number is divisible by 4.

We shall take examples

1. In the number 2348, the number has digits in the tens and units place is 48 and 48 is divisible by 4. So the number 2348 is divisible by 4.

 Now we shall verify by actually dividing.

 

 

 

2348 is completely divisible by 4 giving remainder zero.

 

2. In the number 6029; 29 is not divisible by 4 so the number 6029 is not divisible by 4.
