Number- a Group of Numerals 

Number is a group of numerals. Now what is numeral? Numerals are the symbols to represent the numbers. Day to day life we need to count the objects, multiply or divide something to calculate. In speaking, we use number to explain something.

We shall take examples.

• I have to pay Rs. 45 for taxi fare.

Here I need to count rupees to pay.

• We have to buy two notebooks and its cost is thirty rupees for each notebook.
